Le Sun Ra and his Arkestra - Super Sonic Jazz (1956)

Some more very early Sun Ra, with a smattering of tracks recorded throughout 1956. Like "Tiny Pyramids," the opening track on this album is unmistakable...A beautiful Eastern sound....Advice to Medics has a beat that will be more fully explored in later albums, under different names ('Watusi')...not to be missed...

hoooooly crap, what a great idea! sun ra put out so so many records; you can really lose your marbles trying to make sense of it. on the other hand, sun ra often inspires people to obsession, so if more such folks find their way here in the spirit of altruism, a lot of gaps could really be filled.

i don't have scads of non-evidence releases, but do have several boots and el saturn vinyls. more than happy to up them.

hey, by the way, the Part 2 .rar of Super Sonic Jazz appears to be corrupted. just d'loaded it twice, but it bombs out unarchiving.

marxbert, thank you!
